The Lauwersstraat is located in between the train stations of The Hague Centraal and The Hague Holland Spoor in the quiet neighboorhoud called Stationsbuurt. The city centre is within 2 kilometres. The tram 17 stops close by and brings you to the train station Centraal and the beach in Scheveningen. Leiden University's Campus can be reached within 15 minutes by foot, within 5-10 minutes by bike.
We would like to inform you that Lauwersstraat is in close distance of the Geleenstraat, which is a small red-light district of The Hague. This does not mean you have to pass through this area to get to your house, or that you will experience any discomfort from that area in your street. However, we would just like to make sure that you are aware of this in advance and that you can include this information in your consideration of where you prefer to live. The area is centrally located, close to the city centre and the main train stations.
The accommodation at this address is intended for quiet pursuits and study purposes. Given the poor insulation in these premises and the different groups of occupants present, i.e. students and families, an additional stipulation has been introduced, namely that tenants are forbidden from causing noise disturbance of any kind. This stipulation is in addition to all conditions stated in the rental agreement.
All the rooms are completely furnished and decorated. There are no sinks present in the individual student rooms. Each shared kitchen contains a microwave.

Every room has internet access. You will receive more user-information when you sign your contract.
In every apartment there is a washing machine for common use (free of charge). A drying machine is however not available.
You are requested to separate your garbage for disposal. Ordinary garbage can be collected in grey plastic bags that can be bought in all supermarkets. Do not place them in the walkway because this is a fire escape route. Bottles and other glass items can be deposited in glass containers. The glass containers are situated at the Huijgenspark, about 300 m from your apartment. On Tuesdays the garbage will be collected by the garbage company. Garbage can be left outside after 22.00 o’clock the night before and no later than 07.45 o’clock on the day.
You can park a car in the street. Parking in The Hague centre is however always charged.
Use of the walkways
It is important that walkways remain clear of obstacles since they constitute fire escape routes. Empty walkways are part of fire regulations. If objects are found in the walkways, you will be invited only once to remove these. Should you neglect to do so these will be removed at your expense.
