Housing offer

If we receive both your housing request and deposit before the deadline, the Housing office will do its best to send you a housing offer via e-mail after the matching process, which will start on the 1st of June/15th of November.

Unfortunately, due to the shortage of student housing, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to offer the room/apartment of your preference , however please be assured that we will do our best. 
If your deposit has been paid before the deadline of the 1st of June/ 15th of November, we hope to be send you an offer between the 15th of June/ and 31st of July or 1st of December and 1st of January. The housing department makes every effort to honour your requests, but cannot guarantee that specific requests can be met.  
 
Please bear in mind that due to a shortage of student accommodation you will receive a maximum of one offer of housing!

Confirmation of the reservation

Complete the housing offer form and return it via e-mail (scanned image) or fax within 5 days in order to keep your reservation.

Confirmation of receipt

You will receive a confirmation of receipt after we have received your signed housing offer form, and a confirmation letter with information about the follow-up procedure.

Pay rent (before arrival)

Transfer your payment to the SEA Housing Office before arrival:

  • administration fee of € 130
  • 1.5 Months rent when starting on the 16th of the month. 1 Months rent when starting on the 1st of the month.


Make sure to get proof of payment from your bank when you make an international transfer. You can also pay this first payment at the Housing Office with creditcard (we can not accept payments by American Express card or cash). For creditcard payments an extra €5 fee is charged.

Make appointment for key and rental contract

Make an appointment for signing your contract at the Housing Office. Note that the first payment has to be done prior to signing.

If you have a room/apartment at Herengracht, Kaarsenmakerstraat, Hugo de Grootstraat, Hooigracht or Smaragdlaan: 5 days before you are due to arrive, please call or email the caretaker of the building to make an appointment to pick up your key. Bear in mind that you need a signed contract to receive a key.

NOTE: In case of problems with regard to this appointment, please contact Accommodate or the Housing Office as soon as possible.  

If you have a room at the Verlengde Wassenaarseweg or Oranjelaan: Five days before you are due to arrive, please make an appointment with the Housing Office to sign your contract. You will receive your keys upon signing.
